Teeling Whiskey continues 'Renaissance' with a new 18-year-old single malt

Dublin's Teeling Whiskey Distillery is well-known for progressive and daring bottlings, and this month sees that tradition continue with two new limited expressions hitting shelves - a second edition of The Renaissance and a Plantation Rum Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum cask finish.

The Renaissance series, launched in 2019, is crafted to celebrate the global rebirth - or Renaissance - of Teeling, Dublin and Irish whiskey as it continues to be the fastest growing premium spirit in the world.

This second bottling in the Renaissance series consists of 18-year-old single malt that was aged initially in ex-Bourbon barrels before being finished in high quality, ex-Australian Shiraz wine casks, imparting distinct hints of ripe red fruits with sour cherry notes and a delicate soft spice.

Jack Teeling, Founder and Managing Director of Teeling Whiskey, commented, "We are delighted to launch the second release of our award-winning Renaissance Series of aged Single Malts. These releases are a celebratory bottling series to mark the true renaissance of Dublin as the epicentre for world-class city based whiskey distillation.

"With our Dublin distilled Irish whiskey now being exported around the world we are witnessing a new dawn which is perfectly encapsulated in our Renaissance bottlings.”

In an eye-catching tall decanter bottle, this single malt is bottled at 46% ABV and has an RRP of €140, available at the Teeling Whiskey Distillery, The Celtic Whiskey Shop and premium independent Irish off licences.

The Dublin distillery's other recent release is a limited edition of the classic Teeling Small Batch finished in Plantation Rum Stiggins’ Fancy Pineapple Rum casks for 15 months. This is the first in what promises to be a fascinating new branch of the Teeling Whiskey family, Small Batch Collaborations, which will see them teaming up with 'like-minded mavericks' to produce interesting new whiskeys.

This limited edition whiskey is bottled at 49.2% ABV and can be picked up for €50 from the Teeling Distillery shop.
