Like many, Cincinnati Bengals rookie wideout Tee Higgins heard Joe Burrow’s message loud and clear that addressed current events.
Asked about Burrow’s taking a stand by Dan Hoard on the Bengals Booth Podcast, Higgins said the following: “It means a lot. A guy with his platform is just showing that he really cares and that this is a guy that is showing his true colors.”
Not too long after Higgins said the above, the Bengals released a statement via the team’s site and committed a large sum of money to causes picked by players and coaches.
How Higgins feels about what Burrow said is likely reflective of how most of his teammates feel at this point ahead of training camp.
Burrow’s impressed them and coaches with his command in the all-virtual meetings — but he’s impressed via something far, far more important too.
