A day removed from revealing the overall rating for Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, EA Sports issued rookie wideout ratings ahead of the “Madden NFL 21” release.
That means an official rating for Tee Higgins: 71.
The 71 for the first pick of the second round ties Higgins for the sixth-highest overall of all rookie wideouts. He’s got an 87 speed rating with an 82 catch rating.
This places Higgins well behind first-round picks like Henry Ruggs, who checked in with a 76 overall rating.
Not that the Bengals will care too much — we know the coaches liked him as a first-round product, hence taking him to start the second round. We also know he’ll be fun to use in Madden itself given that his most common comparison is A.J. Green.
Burrow, Higgins and others clearly have the makings of a top Madden team this year.
