Tedy Bruschi gets promotion at ESPN, will join ‘NFL Countdown’

Tedy Bruschi’s ESPN career continues to ascend with his new role on “Sunday NFL Countdown”.

He is replacing Charles Woodson and will be alongside Sam Ponder, Randy Moss, Rex Ryan and Matt Hasselbeck. Woodson was released by ESPN early in February and it was reported that he struggled to find footing with the show.

Bruschi has been with ESPN for nearly a decade and has established himself as a household name in sports media. He regularly appears on NFL Live, SportsCenter, ESPN Radio, ESPN Boston and numerous other shows that receive national coverage. ESPN has declined to comment on the hire at this moment.

His career has exemplified a success story that is a result of hard work and dedication. The former New England Patriots linebacker is a three-time Super Bowl champion and was a captain of the team for seven years. He was a part of five Super Bowl runs and shifted over to ESPN immediately after finishing his NFL career.

Bruschi is also very knowledgeable of this current Patriots team, so he will have plenty of insight on Sunday nights about the team that won two of the last three Super Bowls.
