Teddy Sheringham explains what would be "perfect" for Marcus Rashford at Manchester United

Former Manchester United star Teddy Sheringham believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should make Marcus Rashford the club's main forward this season.

Rashford shared the responsibility with Romelu Lukaku last season, despite managing to score 10 times in 33 league appearances.

But with the Belgian seemingly trying to force his way out of the club this summer, Sheringham, whose United career spanned four years, believes that Rashford should now be used as the club's first choice centre-forward.

“I think he’s got the lot,” Sheringham told talkSPORT .

“He’s still only a young lad and he’s shown that he can score goals.

"If he was given the main mantle at Old Trafford now, I think it would be perfect for him.”

Before the former England international added: “He’s had three or four seasons where he’s been in and out.

“He was lot more present last season and he’s coming into a great age.

“He’s shown great attributes. He’s one to keep, work with and look after.”
