Teddy Bridgewater nominated for Week 5 FedEx Air & Ground Awards

The NFL announced Tuesday that New Orleans Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was nominated for this week’s FedEx Air & Ground Awards following his dominant performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It is the first such nomination for Bridgewater this season, also making him the first Saints player to be nominated for this recognition.

Fans can vote for Bridgewater to win it by visiting NFL.com/FedEx or on Twitter, participating in the poll embedded in this post (which can also be found at this link). Voting closes at 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, with FedEx awarding a $2,000 donation in the winning players’ name to The United Services Organizations. Saints players like Drew Brees, Cameron Jordan, and Mark Ingram have made USO tours in the past to meet with American service members overseas.

Bridgewater is facing stiff competition. Houston Texans Deshaun Watson had his cleats sent to the Pro Football Hall of Fame after throwing as many touchdown as incompletions against the Atlanta Falcons in a rout, while Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson continued to play as efficiently as ever on Thursday Night Football. It may take every vote Saints fans can muster to put Bridgewater on top.
