Ted Lasso star joins professional US soccer team

  • Cristo Fernandez, known for his role as Dani Rojas in the Apple TV series Ted Lasso, has signed a professional soccer contract.
  • He has joined El Paso Locomotive FC, a team in the United Soccer League (USL), with the terms of the deal currently undisclosed.
  • The 35-year-old actor secured the contract following a two-month trial period with the club.
  • Fernandez's soccer career was previously interrupted by an injury at age 15, which led him to pursue acting.
