Ted Lasso’s reach extends into Falcons locker room

Things started out rough for the Atlanta Falcons this season as they lost their first two games of the year, but after a win over the Giants in Week 3, the team is hoping to build on that momentum going forward. By showing signs of improvement, even minor ones, it gives the players a reason to believe in the new coaching staff.

Speaking of signs, the infamous “BELIEVE” sign from Apple TV’s Ted Lasso program somehow ended up in the Falcons media room.

“It’s kinda all set up, you know we’re getting ready to go to London and I’m a big fan of the show, and again I’m trying to find out who Bassity was taking a shot at,” Smith told Atlanta’s 92.9 The Game radio station.

“I think Michael Rothstein (Falcons ESPN National reporter) asked after the game a couple of players and talked about our belief and this and that, Rothstein said something about Ted Lasso and Bassity, I don’t know if he was making fun of me or the press, he put the belief sign,” continued Smith.

Will the sign stay up, though? You have to believe that if the Falcons start getting the results they want, the sign is staying right where it is.
