'Technically-gifted' Nottingham Forest sign academy midfielder on professional deal

Nottingham Forest have signed academy midfielder Fin Back on a professional contract.

The 17-year-old - the son of England Rugby World Cup winner Neil Back - has impressed for Forest's under-18s over the last two seasons, scoring five goals from midfield in 2018-19.

Back has already added two to that tally so far this season, and his performances have earned him his first pro deal at the City Ground.

Back is seen as a "technically-gifted midfielder with an eye for goal" by Forest.

On signing the contract, Back took to Twitter to say: "Delighted to sign my first professional contract with the club that I have been with since the age of eight years old.

"I am very grateful for everyone who has contributed to my development and for making this happen."
