The Guardian Technology editor Charles Arthur sits in for Aleks Krotoski to host a discussion of the top tech stories from 2012. Charles is joined by the Guardian games writer Keith Stuart, media and technology writer Josh Halliday and the Guardian's digital correspondent Jemima Kiss. The team look at Microsoft's launch of the much anticipated Windows 8 and their battle to catch up with Apple and Google and the re-emergence of Yahoo alongside the past year's trends in mobile phones and tablets. Jemima Kiss looks ahead to 2013 and what might be the tech trends in the new year, including attempts by politicians to control Twitter and the rise of video tagging technologies and services.
