Tech transformation firm makes Edinburgh its second base

Tech firm TAB is to make Edinburgh its first base outside London.

Sam Dods, Euan Muir and Kasia Swiatek will lead the team at the capital's WeWork space. The company is recruiting cross-functional designers and engineers to join them there.

TAB - The App Business - is in its 10th year as technology partner with major clients including RBS, Tesco, Visa, BMW, Kingfisher, Met Office, ING and Santander. It helps businesses to accelerate digital innovation and product delivery. In 2016, it became part of the Kin + Carta global ecosystem of 1,500 technologists, strategists and creatives.

The Edinburgh team, whose base will be open by the end of this month, will be supported by a 200-strong team of designers, engineers and strategists based at TAB's London Kings Cross HQ.

David Tuck, managing director of TAB, said: "Choosing Edinburgh as the location for our second office outside of London was a no brainer for us. There’s a thriving tech scene, one of the UK’s leading Artificial Intelligence hubs, world-class universities, and a strong community of talented designers and developers who want to work on products and services that have real-world impact.

"We're excited to bring TAB culture and ways of working to many of our clients who are already here in this beautiful city."
