You’re spending a third of the hours that you’re awake glued to mobile phone apps, that’s according to industry data analysis.

Monitoring firm app Annie says people worldwide on average spend nearly five hours each day scrolling and swiping on-screen.

So, what’s the biggest time thief? TikTok.

A British politician is calling for social media influencers to be more honest when they’ve digitally enhanced photos that are claimed to be the result of a healthy diet and exercise.

Dr Luke Evans, a Conservative MP who was formerly a general practitioner, wants advertisers, broadcasters and publishers to be “honest and upfront” about edits by labeling them as such.
