Tech & Science Daily: WhatsApp’s new avoid your friends feature

Mark Zuckerberg is rolling out some new features on WhatsApp that will make it easier for you to avoid your friends.

The new update will let you hide your “last seen” status from specific contacts, and leave a group without notifying other users.

The new security features are being rolled out this month.

Snapchat is launching a new supervision tool for parents to keep an eye on who their children are speaking with on the app.

Both the parent and child need to accept the ‘Family Centre’ invite, which lets parents see the full contact list, but not the messages.

The UK heatwave is causing farms to struggle due to the tinderbox conditions and lack of water. Not only are they having to use stored winter provisions for their livestock but crops are struggling to grow.

That’s according to Martin Lines, a farmer in Cambridgeshire, who told Tech & Science Daily the struggles his farm is facing. To make matters worse, some farms are having produce turned away by supply chains because it didn’t meet the standards for things like size, shape or weight.
