January temperatures have hit an all-time high across Europe - with national records set in eight countries.

Tech & Science Daily spoke to Ella Gilbert, a climate scientist from the British Antarctic Survey.

Ella explains what’s causing these highs in Europe, while across the pond the USA’s being hit by a deep freeze.

It looks like BT is still set on creating the UK’s first ‘drone highway’.

The telecoms firm has invested £5 million into drone company Altitude Angel, to support its work on what is known as Project Skyway.

A project called ‘pipe bots’ could help cut the number of roads being dug up across the country.

Tech & Science Daily spoke to the project lead, Professor Kirill Horoshenkov from the University of Sheffield, who says the robots are designed to travel through water pipes to spot leaks or blockages, and report back - but they have to use clever tech to navigate their way around.

And the rest

FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried has pleaded not guilty to fraud, tributes paid to last surviving Apollo 7 astronaut Walter Cunningham, robotic therapy helps dad walk again after crash, and celebrations for World Braille Day 2023. Plus, Matt Hancock ditches his own app to focus on TikTok.
