Tech & Science Daily: Could common cold cells help fight Covid-19?

Scientists at Imperial College London believe they have uncovered evidence that those with a common cold could be protected when living with someone infected with coronavirus.

The study found that people with higher amounts of cells, called T Cells, created by the common cold are actually less likely to become infected.

They say that while it’s an “important discovery”, it’s not something people should rely on.

The updated NHS Food Scanner app will use barcodes to encourage families to switch to healthier food as part of heightened efforts to tackle Britain’s child obesity crisis.

Government data suggests one in four children of reception school age are overweight or obese and this rises to four in ten in Year 6.
