Summer is fast approaching which means there'll be plenty of time to sit back and relax in your garden and enjoy the sun.
That's only if you've sorted out the gardening first, though!
This time of year it's easy to see your pride and enjoy turn into a weed-infested jungle if you don't keep on top of things.
But tech boffins from the States think they have found a way to take all that effort away from you. And it's good for the environment, too.
Engineers at Franklin Robotics have developed a solar-powered robot that can automatically weed your garden for you every day.
They called it Tertill. It is solar-powered and it charges itself while weeding your garden non-stop.
Tertill can weed your garden 24/7, whether it is raining or the sun is up.
How does it work?
Tertill is designed to weed your garden automatically. It has built-in sensors which distinguish your precious plants and weeds.
The bot knows that weeds are short and plants are tall so targets only the bad stuff. And if you have young plants you can fit them with a collar so Tertill avoids them.
Once Tertill determines a potential weed, a spinning string trimmer activates and cuts the weed from the base.
It will continue to cut a potential weed from the base so that it will not give any chance for the weed to grow, eventually, it withers and dies.
So that means you don't have to use pesticides.
The company's Kickstarter has been succesful. Unfortunately for us, the company is only taking orders from the US and Canada at the moment.
But if it takes off you'll no doubt be seeing these robot gardeners this side of The Pond soon.
