'Tears in my eyes!': Manchester City fans react as starting line-up vs Chelsea is confirmed

In what is Man City's biggest test of the season so far - and potentially their toughest task of the entire campaign - Pep Guardiola takes his side to Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Supporters had called for Ferran Torres to lead the line alongside Riyad Mahrez and Jack Grealish, meaning there would be no place for Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden in the front three. However the boss has instead opted for Foden over the Algerian, with Gabriel Jesus also in from the off.

Guardiola was boosted by the return to fitness of John Stones and Aymeric Laporte, who travelled with the squad to London, and the latter partners Ruben Dias at centre-back as Nathan Ake drops to the bench. Kyle Walker and Joao Cancelo at full-back.

Kevin De Bruyne gets the nod in a midfield three alongside Rodri and Bernardo Silva as City look to bolster their title chances.

Here's what City fans have said about Guardiola's team news selection...

The winner of today's clash will send a huge statement of intent to the rest of the title hopefuls.
