'Tears in my eyes!' - Chelsea fans in meltdown over what Frank Lampard has done against Man City

Chelsea fans are happy with the team Frank Lampard has named to start against Manchester City.

The Blues go into the game on the back of a rather frustrating 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa six days ago, a result which extended their unbeaten home run in the Premier League to seven.

However, Chelsea's overall form has stuttered in weeks.

Their only win in the last six games across all competitions was against West Ham United in the final game before Christmas and in this period they've lost three times.

But in an attempt begin 2021 with victory over what is a slightly weakened Man City, Lampard has made several changes to the side which started against Villa.

Five to be exact.

As expected, Kurt Zouma resumes his centre-back partnership with Thiago Silva after the pair were rested on Monday evening.

In midfield, Jorginho's place is taken by Mateo Kovacic who joins N'Golo Kante and Mason Mount in the engine room.

And the big news is the return of Hakim Ziyech in attack.

The Morocco international has bee out of action since the 3-1 win over Leeds United at the beginning of last month, but has been passed fit to replace Callum Hudson-Odoi.
