'Tears in my eyes' - Chelsea fans amazed by what Frank Lampard has done against Leicester City

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard's team selection for this evening's showdown with Premier league title challengers Leicester City at the King Power Stadium has sparked a reaction from the Blues' supporters.

Chelsea, who ran out 1-0 winners on their last visit to this particular part of the Midlands, defeating the Foxes in an FA Cup quarter-final back in June, will be eying up a second successive league victory after Saturday's 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage.

With just 12 minutes remaining, midfielder Mason Mount netted his second goal in as many games to bring an end to the Blues' three-game winless run in the league.

But although the win over the Cottagers will have handed everyone within the Blues' squad a huge lift, tonight's clash with Leicester, who can go top of the table with a win, will require a huge effort and great amounts of concentration.

Brendan Rodgers' side enter tonight's clash with form in their sails after registering three wins in their last five league outings.

In an attempt to bring an end to the Foxes' impressive run of form, Lampard, as you would have expected, has fielded a strong-looking team, as the Blues aim to move to within two points of the top-four with a win.

Chelsea starting line-up: Mendy; James, Rudiger, Silva, Chilwell; Kovacic, Havertz, Mount; Hudson-Odoi, Abraham, Pulisic. Substitutes: Kepa, Azpilicueta, Zouma, Christensen, Emerson, Jorginho, Gilmour, Ziyech, Werner.

In total, following the win over Fulham on Saturday, Lampard has made four changes to his starting line-up, with Reece James, Kai Havertz, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham coming into the fold.

Most of the reaction from Chelsea's supporters on social media has centred around Lampard's decision to restore Hudson-Odoi to the starting line-up. The winger stepped off the bench for the final 15 minutes against Fulham on Saturday, replacing Hakim Ziyech, who starts on the bench this evening.

As well as being delighted with Hudson-Odoi's involvement from the start, Chelsea's supporters are also encouraged by Lampard's decision to hand a start to Havertz.

Above, football.london has taken a close look at what some Blues fans have had to say on social media about this evening's starting line-up.
