Tears in court as woman accused of violent home invasion denied bail

A woman has broken down in tears while appearing in court charged over a violent home invasion in Sydney's south-west.

Kristen Moriarty mouthed the words, "I love you" and said, "I want to come home" to a man while pressing her hands against the glass of the dock at Liverpool Court today.

The 28-year-old was refused bail after she was formally charged with two counts of attempted murder after a man and a woman were stabbed at a Bringelly home on Monday night.

She was also charged with serious break and enter offences, as well as wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The former housemate moved out from the semi-rural property a few weeks ago, and returned late on Monday to collect some of her personal belongings.

Ms Moriarty was allegedly accompanied by 32-year-old Scott Keighran, who police said had links to the Rebels bikie gang and had only been out of jail for less than two months.

It is alleged the pair forced their way into the property, where a fight broke out with the three people who were inside the home at the time.

Resident Vince Dattilo, 44, suffered stab wounds to his chest and stomach and a 38-year-old woman suffered stab wounds to her neck and hands, before the two intruders fled in a Holden Commodore.

The car crashed into a tree not far from the home on Northern Road in Luddenham. Police found both the intruders at the scene of the crash.

Mr Keighran, who is facing identical charges to Ms Moriarty, did not appear in court today but his bail was formally refused.

Neither of their lawyers made an application for bail, but Ms Moriarty's lawyer said a release application would be made on August 10.

He asked that she undergo a medical assessment for visible injuries, including a swollen black eye.

Both matters will return to court on September 17.
