Tears as Strictly's Will Bayley returns to show to discuss devastating exit

His shock exit made headlines earlier this week and Strictly Come Dancing contestant Will Bayley prompted tears as he returned to he appear on Saturday night's live show.

After it was reported that he only had "a slim chance of returning to the show," Will Bayley officially confirmed he has quit Strictly on Wednesday evening.

Team GB Paralympian Will suffered a freak injury to his knee hours before Strictly's live show last Saturday after a jumping stunt went wrong.

After BBC insiders claimed he had little chance of making it back onto the dancefloor, he officially announced his departure from the show on Wednesday evening, alongside pro partner Janette Manrara.

Revealing he had quit Strictly, Will said: "I'm gutted my Strictly journey has had to come to an end. I've loved being part of the show.

And Will, while not competing, appeared on Strictly this weekend, reducing pro partner Janette to tears as he discussed what a brilliant time he'd had on the show and how he was determined to take part in the Paralympics next year.

His knee was strapped up but Will told host Tess Daly "it's getting there," adding "if there was anyway I could dance I would."
