Tearful pet owner appears on This Morning to make desperate appeal for Chanel's return

The owner of a lost parrot says she is "heartbroken" after her much loved pet escaped again.

Sandra Hannah, from Netherton, gave a tearful interview with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on today's This Morning when she recounted how her beloved African Grey parrot named Chanel had gone missing again.

The video she recorded when she repeatedly called for her missing parrot went viral on social media last year - and eventually led to the parrot being found within a day after it fortunately knocked on the window of someone who had seen Sandra's video.

But the parrot has now gone missing again after it flew out the door and towards the nearby canal while Sandra was helping her son get ready to play out on his bike.

It's already been three days since Chanel has gone missing - which has left Sandra feeling concerned.

She said: "She's so tame and she'll be so scared now so she'll just so she'll just want to try and get anywhere safe."

"We're all heartbroken. She's like my fifth child."

Sandra got emotional while talking about her missing parrot - and did provide some tips for how people can help rescue Chanel if they do spot the African Grey.

She said: "If anyone sees her take a picture because we've been driving around everywhere as we've had that many false things. Shout her name and put your hand out and she'll just come on you."
