Coronation Street viewers praised tonight's darkly realistic and chilling episode depicting Geoff's vile abuse, resulting in Yasmeen being forced to defend herself.
Tonight, Geoff cornered Yasmeen as he hurled abuse at her and waved a knife in her face.
Throughout the episode, Geoff was seen belittling Yasmeen behind closed doors while plastering on an amiable persona to their friends and family.
The nasty DJ, played by Ian Bartholomew, lied to Yasmeen about what Peter had said to him, telling her that Peter had been disgusted she had been "all over him" earlier in the week.
He also taunted her by saying that her grandchildren didn't miss her at the wedding.
As she begged for his forgiveness, Geoff forced her to put on an overtly sexy dress as they met with Tim and Sally in the Rovers.
Geoff forced her back home when she confronted him about taking money from Speed Daal to pay for Sally and Tim's wedding.
When they returned home, Geoff cornered Yasmeen as she pleaded for him to "love her like he used to".
But vile Geoff called her a "bony old bore" and said she "made his skin crawl".
And while viewers were left disturbed by the scenes, viewers praised the acting and writing.
