Team leading the Growth Vision for North Wales seeking new recruits

New recruits are being sought to support the delivery of a £1bn series of transformative economic programmes.

The team leading the Growth Vision for North Wales are looking to fill eight key roles as work begins on the 14 projects that make up the North Wales Growth Deal, signed by both the Welsh and UK Governments in December.

Driven by the North Wales Economic Ambition Board’s Portfolio Management Office – based at Conwy Business Centre, Llandudno Junction – successful candidates will join the 12-strong unit who will take forward schemes in sectors including agri-food and tourism, energy, land and property, digital, and innovation in high-value manufacturing.

Among the positions currently being advertised are: Digital Project Officer, two Project Managers for Land and Property, and Project Managers for Energy and Transport Decarbonisation, Skills and Employment, Graduate Skills and Employment, and Procurement and Social Value.

Portfolio Director Alwen Williams said: “Now the Deal has been signed we can lay the foundations for these programmes and projects.

"This recruitment drive is pivotal to the next stage of our journey and we look forward to hearing from candidates from across the region interested in joining us as we take the Growth Vision forward over the months and years ahead.”
