Team behind Glasgow restaurant Eighty Eight to open new city centre spot Scamp

The team behind one of Glasgow's most popular restaurants is to launch a new food spot in the city centre.

Eighty Eight, the Partick eatery famed for its fantastic sharing plates, is part of a new venture called Scamp.

Scamp will soon open in the heart of the city at 26a Renfield Street, previously home to Charcoals Indian restaurant.

And Eighty Eight chefs have teamed up with the brilliant Hooligan Wine Bar, on Lynedoch Street, to announce the exciting new addition to Glasgow's food and drink scene.

In the meantime, they're currently looking for staff ahead of welcoming their first customers in.

They say: "We’re looking for passionate people to join the Scamp team. We’re hiring chefs and front of house of all levels, so if you’re looking for an exciting new opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.

"Email your CV to scampglasgow@gmail.com."

Since opening in 2019, the Eighty Eight has been inundated with a series of rave reviews and was included in Glasgow Live's list of Top 50 Restaurants in the city.
