Whether you’re planning a half term of long dog walks or chilling with a film, snacks and your favourite feline companion, this week we are calling for teachers to share pictures of themselves with their animals.
Are you going to have a hamster to look after this break? Or do you have a more exotic creature to care for? What will happen to the classroom pet over the break? We’d like pictures of teachers’ pets so share your photos with us and we’ll feature the best ones on the site.
We’ve already received some great contributions in our gallery here. You can share your own photos by clicking on the blue “contribute” button on this article. You can also use the GuardianWitness smartphone app or the new Guardian app and search for “GuardianWitness assignments”. If you add this page to your homepage, you’ll be able to keep up with all our assignments.
Here are some of the contributions so far:
Custard the cat
This is me with my cat, Custard.
My cat, Jenson and marking. I love one of these.
My cat Jenson always lets me subtly know when I'm neglecting him.
Cuddles with Peg
Peggy has been looking after me during a bout of half term Plague
