Teacher winces at 'abomination' name of child in her class - with film theme

All teachers will know that some parents like to get very creative with the names of their little ones.

More and more parents are looking to push the boundaries when it comes to naming their mini-me's - but one teacher truly thinks they've seen it all after coming across a child with a film-themed name.

"One of my students for next year is named Wrenesmee", they admitted. Fans of the Twilight franchise will instantly have spotted the link between that name and Renesmee Carlie Cullen - child of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan.

The teacher took to Reddit to sarcastically quip: "Because Twilight didn't create enough of an abomination, I guess."

They also decided to share some more unusual names they'd encountered during their teaching career, referring to them as "notable mentions."

"Jhream (pronounced Dream), Kyle and Ka'el (twins share a womb, why not share a name too?), Loveliz (pronounced l-oh-veh-lease but was often mistaken as 'loveless'), and Geminye (her grandmother's zodiac sign, not hers)."

In the comments, people were baffled and confused in equal measure, with one person joking they were "going to hit something."

"That last one...not even her own star sign", someone fumed, while another person reasoned that it may have been her "rising sign."

"I feel sorry for you", another Redditor said to the teacher, while some else said that the names were "wretched."

"Oh, oh no", someone wrote.

"I used to work with two Aprils, only one of whom was born in April", joked another commenter.

"I assumed Loveliz was 'lovelys'", a woman pointed out, but someone else wrote: "This one also gets the 'way it's written' treatment. Love Liz."
