Teacher who quit when OnlyFans images circulated at school says she's happier

A teacher who quit when pictures from her OnlyFans page started to circulate at her school claims she had to join the explicit content site to make more money and to be at home for her son. Kirsty Buchan left her post at Bannerman High School in Baillieston, Glasgow, after her explicit content surfaced.

Now Kirsty has told the DailyRecord she has attracted more subscribers and made an extra £450 in three days since quitting her day job.

Kirsty, 33, said: “Some people are saying I must be mad to go from being a physics teacher to selling nude photos online. But it has become very clear to me that I was insane to stick at that job for six years under the strain that I was facing every day.

“I was staying up to 1am doing extra unpaid work and the stress was unbelievable. I was crying my eyes out at my situation and I didn’t know which way to turn. I had read about other teachers earning £50,000 a month on the site and I had a sick child at home who needed a mum who is earning.

“I have bills to pay and a mortgage and it wasn’t even a difficult decision. Glasgow City Council has come out and said they were going to discipline me but they were never going to get the satisfaction of that. I feel like a huge weight is off my mind now that I have told them what to do with their job."

Kirsty said: “I’ve had people saying it’s my body and my decision what I do with it. And that’s the bottom line. I’m not ashamed of my body and I discussed all this with my boyfriend before I made the decision to open the account on OnlyFans.

“I’m not turning into someone who’s having sex left, right and centre because I am in a serious, monogamous relationship and I've simply made a career choice that breaks no laws.”

Kirsty said the people criticising her are being sexist. She said: “I got a lot of sexism just by being a physics teacher, operating in a male dominated world. And I will get it because of what I have now chosen to do.

"But people are just being misogynists if they put me down for this. And I bet half of them are women who are jealous because they wouldn’t be able to succeed at it themselves. I have worked hard and I went back to uni and did a postgraduate and I was juggling two jobs when my son was three years old."

Kirsty added: “I usually enjoyed my classes and I can say that the pupils loved me. I might sound immodest but I’m a great teacher and I put my heart and soul into my job. When I do something I do it well and it will be the same with my Only Fans account."
