For many people, an invitation to compete on Love Island would be a dream come true. An opportunity for some romance in the sun, plus the chance of gaining a significant public platform.
However, for one passionate teacher, this sort of glamorous experience holds no draw whatsoever when compared with the great love of his life: teaching.
Primary school teacher Kit Brown - best known to his pupils as Mr Brown - says he's been approached not once but twice by Love Island recruiters, turning them down on both occasions.
According to Kit, he decided it just wasn't for him given he cares far more about his teaching career than any amount of reality show fame.

Taking to TikTok - where he regularly keeps his 690.6k followers updated with teaching content - Kit shared a video of himself marking books in his classroom, overlaid with text about his close brush with Love Island.
Kit, who goes by the username @kjbr0wn, wrote: "POV you say no to going on Love Island twice because you care more about your career as a teacher."
In the caption, the proud teacher added: "True story. My bag will always be teaching children, what I love doing."

The video has since been liked more than 1.3 million times and counting, with people declaring the confession to be "the greenest flag" and "so wholesome".
Many impressed followers felt Kit had absolutely made the right decision, admiring his dedication to the children in his class, and agreeing he is "already doing something that actually matters."
One person wrote: "This just fills my heart. So lovely to see so much passion for teaching."
Another joked: "Mate imagine how many times you would hear 'I GOT A TEXT' from your students if you went on there haha. Love it man we need more teachers like you."
It seems Kit feels he made the right decision both personally and professionally and has no regrets. However, a number of Love Island fans have noted he does get the summer holidays off to give it a go if he should ever change his mind.
