Moment teacher 'throws student onto floor' after kicking him out of lesson

Shocking video shared on social media allegedly shows the moment a teacher is said to have pushed a student out of a classroom and onto the ground.

The short clip was filmed inside a classroom at Harrytown Catholic High School in Romiley, Stockport.

The incident is reported to have happened last week whilst a lesson was continuing.

In a clip, the male teacher is seen gesturing at the child to leave the room, before he puts his hands on his shoulders and pushes him out of the door, Manchester Evening News reported.

The teacher is later seen allegedly tripping the schoolboy, forcing him to fall onto the floor.

Footage was shared widely on social media.

The clip was captioned: “This is how teachers in Harrytown School treat their pupils. Justice.”

Stockport council said it is investigating the footage (MEN Media)

Tim Bowman, Interim Director of Children’s Services and Director of Education, Work and Skills at Stockport Council, said: "We are aware of an incident that took place at the school and we are following all appropriate due processes.

“We cannot comment further at this time."

A spokesperson for Harrytown, a voluntary aided Catholic comprehensive school for children aged 11-16, said the school had nothing to add further to the statement issued by the local authority.
