Thousands of members of the National Union of Teachers and NASUWT are expected to take part in a second day of action this term over pay, pensions and working conditions. Schools will be affected in Cumbria, the North East, London, the South East, North East and South West.

On the last one-day strike, Monday 30 September, we asked teachers to give us their reasons for taking part. If you're planning to join in the day of action today – and would like to add to those voices – you can share photos, videos or text by clicking on the blue contribute buttons or if you're on a march you can download the free GuardianWitness smartphone app.

We'll feature the best content on the Guardian site.

GuardianWitness is the home of user-generated content on the Guardian. Contribute your video, pictures and stories, and browse news, reviews and creations submitted by others. Posts will be reviewed prior to publication on GuardianWitness, and the best pieces will feature on the Guardian site.
