Today we have got a jam-packed newsletter for you so without further ado I am going to plunge straight in.
Careers page
This week we launched our new careers page offering top tips, advice and help for those of you busily looking for a new role or the next step up. There's a great article about how to apply for a job in an academy, tips on how to make your application form rise to the top of the pile plus your gems of how to look for a good school. Take a look here and let us know what you think.
Jobs, jobs, glorious jobs...
And don't forget we also have thousands of roles on offer over at Schools Jobs. It is simple to search for jobs in your locality and you can even set up an email alert for five different job roles so that you can be the first one to view the newest vacancies to come online.
For those with jobs to advertise then do get in touch with the team on 020 3353 2010 or email schools.enquiries@guardian.co.uk.
Encyclopaedia Britannica app offer
If you love anything appy then we have an offer for you - we have teamed up with Encyclopaedia Britannica to bring you an exclusive GTN member offer for its brilliant new app. GTN members can get the app subscription for just half price - just click here to access the offer code.
Win a day at The Guardian
A quick reminder that there are still five days left to win your class the chance to come to the Guardian Education Centre for a newspaper and multimedia workshop (and you get an iPod touch too). All the details are here.
New teaching resources on the network:
We're loving this simple but effective resource for younger children about vegetables - it makes a great talking point for healthy eating!
Taken from the Guardian archives this resource features a letter from the author and journalist Arthur Ransome (he of Swallows and Amazons fame) writing to the editor of the Manchester Guardian CP Scott. It's a great resource from which to look at issues such as International Workers' Day (tomorrow in the UK) and also the Russian Revolution as Ransome reported from there for the Manchester Guardian.
There's also this invaluable guide from the Autism Education Trust about teaching a child with ASD. Take a look here and please do share with colleagues.
