Teacher gives birth two days after finding out she was pregnant with first child

A woman who thought she was tired out by her new teaching job gave birth just 48 hours after finding out she was pregnant with her first child.

Peyton Stover, a 23-year-old teacher, was oblivious she had a bun in the oven and thought her new job stress was tiring her out.

She went to her doctors when her legs began to swell and found out then that she was expecting.

Peyton told local news outlet KETV that a doctor ran the test twice and said after the second time that it was "definitely positive".

After this, doctors ran an ultrasound which confirmed the news.

“She looked right at the screen and said, ‘You’re definitely pregnant," Peyton said.

Doctors had to spring into action to save Peyton's life and deliver the baby, as her kidneys and liver were not functioning properly..

“They said she needs to be admitted and then she had the baby that night,” her boyfriend, Travis Koesters, said.

“They’re like you’re having a baby in 15 minutes,” Peyton added.

“I had severely high blood pressure which is very scary,” she went on to say.

“If I wouldn’t have came in when I did I probably wouldn’t have made it through the weekend.”

Doctors performed an emergency C-section and the baby boy, Kash, was born 10 weeks premature weighing just 4 pounds.

It was later revealed that Peyton had a case of pre-eclampsia, which is a pregnancy complication that leads to high blood pressure.

Peyton and Travis, who are both from Omaha, said they wanted kids one day and were thrilled the day came sooner than planned.

“Now that I’ve actually held him, fed him and things like that it’s real. He’s actually mine,” Travis said.
