Teacher booked for ‘sextortion’ week after school director jailed for ‘raping her’ in Uttar Pradesh

BAREILLY: A week after the director of a school in UP's Shahjahanpur was booked for allegedly kidnapping and raping a teacher, police have now registered an FIR against the 22-year-old woman teacher and three of her male friends for alleged "sextortion".

The Shahjahanpur police found that the teacher herself shot the purported video of the "sexual assault", with 'help' from the three men. The four accused allegedly extorted Rs 6 lakh from the school director and were demanding more which he refused. The woman then uploaded the video online and fled to Haridwar with one of her friends. The woman's father had earlier lodged an FIR against the school director for "kidnapping and raping" his daughter on July 28, following which the director was arrested and sent to jail.

SSP S Anand said, “The woman was given an expensive phone by one of her friends to make videos of the sexual act. She then asked the school director to meet her at a hotel. Whatever happened inside the hotel room was consensual, suggests the video.” “The school director was sent to jail since as he appeared to be an accused under section 376-C (sexual intercourse by person in authority). We will now drop abductioncharges. No fresh arrest has been carried out. Steps will be taken after a detailed investigation,” said the SSP.
