Teacher blowing whistle on woke kindergarten program put on leave

Woke kindergarten program caused test scores to decline.

A San Francisco area elementary school teacher who voiced concerns about his school's kindergarten program has been placed on indefinite leave. Last week, we reported on the controversial 'woke' curriculum, which had resulted in the plummeting test scores of the aforementioned school. The teacher, who initially blew the whistle on the program, has now been put on leave, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The teacher, Tiger Craven Neely, revealed that he was invited to a video conference where he was instructed to surrender his keys and laptop, and was subsequently informed not to return until further notice. The reason provided for his suspension was vague, stating 'allegations of unprofessional conduct.' Neely, taken aback by the sudden action, expressed his disbelief over the situation, stating, 'I was shocked. This is my school. I didn't do anything inappropriate.'

The suspension followed a divisive staff meeting held at Glassbrook Elementary School, which included the district superintendent. Neely explained that he left the gathering feeling shaky and disconcerted. The Hayward County School District, which employs Neely, vehemently denied any intent to retaliate or suppress anyone's freedom of expression. They insisted that placing an employee on leave for such purposes would be inconceivable.

The controversy surrounding the woke kindergarten program began when Neely publicly exposed its failures. Previous reports highlighted how the curriculum adversely affected the school's test scores. Concerns regarding the program's efficacy led to discussions at the school and district levels.

While some members of the school community appreciated Neely's courageous act, it appears that others may have viewed it differently. The suspension raises questions about the district's response to criticism and dissent from its educators.

The Hayward County School District has not disclosed any additional information regarding the specific allegations against Neely or the duration of his leave. As this story continues to develop, it remains to be seen how the district will address the concerns raised by the teacher and the consequences it may have for all parties involved. Full transparency and open dialogue may be necessary for restoring trust and ensuring the well-being of the school community.
