Tea stall owner rapes 26-yr-old on marriage lure

Bhopal: A 26-year-old girl was allegedly raped by an acquaintance on the pretext of marriage for around four months in Nishatpura locality. A few days back when the accused denied to marry the survivor, she somehow mustered courage and approached Nishatpura police to file a complaint. Police said they have registered a rape case. Investigating officer SI Shiva Tomar said that the survivor hails from Burhanpur and resides at a rented flat in TT Nagar for her studies. Accused Aman Kumar Sharma, 27, a resident of Nishatpura Housing Board Colony, runs a tea stall. He was repeatedly raping her for the past four months and later refused to marry her.

(The victim's identity has not been revealed to protect her privacy as per Supreme court directives on cases related to sexual assault)
