TE Maxx Williams to earn veteran’s minimum salary

The Arizona Cardinals added some veteran talent to their tight end room when they signed former Baltimore Ravens second-round pick Maxx Williams. His contract is in the books and it isn’t for much.

According to the NFLPA site, he will make the veteran minimum salary at $805,000 in 2019.

There hasn’t been a report yet of how much, if any, of a signing bonus he got.

In four NFL seasons, Williams has 63 receptions for 497 yards and three touchdowns. However, he is not known for his production as a pass catcher. He has a reputation as a solid run blocker.

He has never played in all 16 games of a season.

He offers something the other tight ends on the roster do not with his blocking. The other players are more known for catching passes and can spread out wide. Williams is a more traditional inline tight end who will block.
