TE Delanie Walker was Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded player on Titans offense in Week 1

It wasn’t long ago analysts were calling for the Tennessee Titans to draft a tight end.

After tight end Delanie Walker was sidelined for almost the whole 2018 season, many were concerned with his age and ability to return to the field as the impact player he had been in the past.

But Walker proved them all wrong on Sunday, recording five receptions for 55 yards and two touchdowns during the 43-13 road win over a hyped Cleveland Browns team.

He also finished as Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded player on the Tennessee offense, posting an overall grade of 90.5.

Rookie wide receiver A.J. Brown (86.9), quarterback Marcus Mariota (73.2), running back Derrick Henry (70.6) and tight end Jonnu Smith (70.0) also appeared on the list.

The Titans have a lot to be excited about with an offense that’s clicking early on under newly promoted offensive coordinator Arthur Smith, and it’s important they maintain the consistent dominance they showed in the season opener.

The Titans will be put to yet another test in Sunday’s divisional matchup against the Indianapolis Colts at noon in Nissan Stadium.
