TD to hold virtual public meeting to discuss plans for 250 'build to rent' apartments in Palmerstown

A Dublin TD is set to hold a public meeting on housing planned for their local area - and it will be held entirely online.

Fine Gael TD Emer Higgins is hosting the meeting next week to discuss plans for the Vincent Byrne site in Palmerstown.

A strategic housing development for the site proposes the construction of 250 build to rent apartments.

It would see the skyline surrounding the site dramatically change due to the five buildings that will be up to eight storeys.

Deputy Higgins said: "On Wednesday 29th April at 7pm I will be hosting an online public meeting to discuss the new planning application for the Vincent Byrne site in Palmerstown.

"In normal times I would hold a public meeting so that the community could come together to discuss a large sale development project such as this, however due to the Covid restrictions this is not possible."

Those interested in attending the meeting can send a mail to emer.higgins@oireachtas.ie to get the log in details.

Further information on plans for the Vincent Byrne site can be viewed at www.palmerstownshd2.ie.
