FORT WORTH, Texas _ It wasn't intentional grounding. Then it was.
When the call was reversed with less than two minutes to play against Oklahoma, TCU (3-2, 1-1 Big 12) was pressed into third-and-14 after TCU quarterback Kenny Hill threw the ball away under pressure on second down. The Horned Frogs were down 52-46 to start the game's final drive after stringing together 22 straight points in the fourth in a furious comeback effort that ultimately came up short at Amon G. Carter Stadium.
Hill finished 26 of 44 passing for 449 yards and five touchdown passes and one interception in the first quarter. Receiver Taj Williams, who was instrumental in the near-comeback, had five catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns.
The TCU defense did little to contain OU running back Joe Mixon or receiver Dede Westbrook, who finished with seven catches, 158 yards and two scores of his own for OU (2-2, 1-0).
