- TCL announces Q10M Ultra and Q9M RGB mini-LED TVs
- Flagship X11L will follow up 2025's X11K, with 10,000 nits of brightness
- Initially launching in China; US and UK confirmations likely to come at CES
TCL has unveiled three new TVs for 2026 including one that's so bright you can probably see it from space. That's the X11L, which is a mini-LED TV (and successor to the X11K flagship from this year) that promises to deliver an astonishing 10,000 nits of brightness. And there are two TVs made with next-gen RGB LED backlighting tech, the Q9M and the Q10M Ultra.
At the moment, all three TVs are China-only, but announcements for the US are expected at CES 2026 in January. In 2025, TCL's UK and European TV unveilings come shortly after CES.
The Q9M RGB TV is the most affordable of the trio, with a price starting at 7,999 yuan (about $1,150 / £830 / AU$1,700) for the 65-inch version.
That's really interesting: all the RGB TVs we've seen so far (such as the Hisense 116UX and the Samsung micro-RGB TV) lately have been focused on flagship models, not more attainable TVs.
That's not to say TCL can't do flagships. The more premium Q10M Ultra will be a lot bigger and more expensive at 27,999 yuan (about $3,935 / £2,915 / AU$5,960) for the 85-inch model, rising to 99,999 yuan (about $14,050 / £10,400 / AU$21,275) for the 115-inch range-topper.
And the super-bright X11L? That sits between the two RGB LED TVs with a price starting at 19,999 yuan (about $2,811 / £2,080 / AU$4,255).
TCL's 2026 TVs: key features
The Q10M Ultra RGB Mini LED 4K TV, to give it its full name, promises industry-leading color accuracy with 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut, the same as Samsung's Micro RGB TV. The 85, 98 and 115-inch panels deliver 8,736, 11,520 and 16,848 RGB local dimming zones respectively, with the largest model putting out 9,000 nits of maximum brightness.
The more affordable TCL Q9M has a refresh rate of 288Hz, 2,880 backlight zones in the largest 98-inch model, and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. Like the Q10M Ultra it should deliver 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut.
TCL says its X11L series is "the king of TVs". It features an SQD mini-LED panel with between 14,400 and 20,736 dimming zones. The latter, TCL says, is the highest number of dimming zones ever used in a mini-LED TV.
SQD mini-LED is another new mini-LED tech, which uses a single white LED (rather than the blue LEDs common in standard mini-LED) per dimming zone, and promises strikingly bright, clean and color-rich visuals. To match the picture there's a Bang & Olufsen-tuned speaker system, and the OS is TCL's own Linkong System 3.0 in China – we'd expect Google TV in other countries as usual.
The X11K that this model will replace is available in the US and most of Europe, but not the UK – we'd expect the X11L not to come to the UK either, but maybe we'll be surprised.
