Tayto Park will hold an Autism Awareness day this Sunday, May 12, to support and raise awareness for autism in Ireland.
The park will make a number of changes to create an autism friendly environment, including turning off hand dryers and music and keeping queues for attractions to a minimum.
They have also created social stories (a visual guide describing the various social interactions, situations, behaviours and skills that they may encounter on the day).
The guide will detail all attractions open on the day and help kids with autism break down each social situation into steps that can be fully understood.
