Tayside Police hunting couple after late night ‘altercation’ in Forfar

Tayside Police are hunting a couple following reports of a late night disturbance in Forfar.

The ‘ altercation ’ happened in the town’s Restenneth Drive in the early hours of January 2.

Members of the public reported seeing the pair in an argument at about 1.05am but by the time officers had arrived they had vanished.

Inquiries have been ongoing to identify and trace both of the individuals and in particular, police are keen to speak with the woman and ensure she is safe and well.

She, along with anyone else who can assist officers with their investigation, is asked to come forward.

Inspector Grace Ewing from Forfar Police Station said: “We want to establish what the nature of this disturbance was and to speak to both of those involved.

“If you believe you have any relevant information then please get in touch by contacting us on 101 and quoting incident number 166 of 2 January.”
