Taylor Wimpey West Scotland announces partnership with the Include Me 2 Club in Barrhead

Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has teamed up with a Barrhead charity that provides vital services for people who have additional support needs and disabilities.

The company will give the Include Me 2 a donation for each new home sold and legally completed within its Duncarnock development in Barrhead.

In total, a grand sum of £3,625 will be paid to the Include Me 2 Club as work at the development progresses.

This donation also follows a £1,000 boost to the charity earlier this year, which contributed to the free community fun day that was staged to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and attracted a crowd of over 7,000 people.

This latest initiative signals a long-term relationship with Taylor Wimpey West Scotland. The money will go directly to supporting the work the organisation does in the town.

Paul Mcilvenny, co-founder of the Include Me 2 Club, said: “We are extremely grateful for the support that we have received from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and we can’t thank them enough for their generous donation.

"This money will be put to work locally to help us deliver our range of projects to the local community in Barrhead. On behalf of everyone who uses our service in Barrhead, I would like to say a huge thank you.”

Include Me 2 Club is an award-winning volunteer-led Scottish charity working with children, young people and adults with an additional support need. Its ambition is to create a community where people, no matter their age or abilities, are treated equally and fairly - and are supported to achieve their goals and ambitions – to work, live and take part in their communities as valued members.

Audrey Ross, from Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, said: “We are delighted to be able to support the Include Me 2 Club in this meaningful way.

"Our announcement signals the creation of a relationship with a very worthy local charity that will provide a link between the new community emerging at our Duncarnock development, and the existing community of Barrhead.

“Working with the Include Me 2 Club is a real honour and we are extremely proud to be showing our support in this way.

“Being able to work with local charities and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us, and it’s always lovely to know that we are helping to make a difference to the lives of people in our local communities.”

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s donation to the Include Me 2 Club is one of the many contributions being made by the housebuilder towards community facilities and infrastructure in the wider area.
