Taylor Swift has sent social media into meltdown as she appeared in a floor length bridal gown in her latest social media post.
The 30-year-old songstress - who is dating British actor Joe Alwyn - appeared to fuel rumours that they may have 'secretly tied the knot'.
It came shortly after Taylor Swift revealed that she would be making a big announcement at some point today.
However, despite excitement from her followers it has since emerged that today's exciting news was actually about the release of a new album.
Sharing her latest post with her 140 million Instagram followers, Taylor modelled a gorgeous lace gown and a floral headdress.
In the stunning image, Taylor looked down towards her hands however her ring finger is not directly in the shot.
Taylor's promo image came moments after she confirmed that she was releasing her 9th studio album called Evermore.
"I’m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and folklore’s sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It’s called evermore," Taylor wrote on Instagram today.
"To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in. I’ve never done this before," she added.
Excited fans have joined the dots and are still convinced that Taylor might still have a romantic update yet to come ahead of her birthday this weekend.

Another wrote: "it’s ok u can say ur engaged/married we all still love u."
"Is Taylor Swift going to reveal that she’s MARRIED or NOT," wrote a third.
The Blank Space songstress has so far kept tight lipped about whether she is taking her romance to the next level.
However, it is also certainly not the first time that Taylor and Joe have teased rumours of engagement.
Fans went absolutely wild after they pointed out Taylor had recently tweaked the lyrics in a new recording of Love Story from "baby just say yes" to "baby just said yes".
