Taylor Swift's latest album sure struck a chord with a lot of fans.
"Reputation," which Swift released in November, is the first album to sell more than two million copies in over two years, Billboard reported, citing Nielsen.
The album crossed that impressive threshold in mid-March after approximately 5,000 units were purchased during the month's second full week.
"Reputation" follows in the footsteps of Adele's critically acclaimed "25," which was the last album to reach two million sales. Adele's "25" memorably only needed three days to hit the enviable milestone following its November 2015 release.
That album, which featured the megahit song "Hello," went on to net Adele album of the year honors at the 2017 Grammys. She also won song of the year and record of the year at the award show for "Hello."
Swift, 27, took on an edgier approach than she had in the past for "Reputation," which featured major hits including "Look What You Made Me Do" and "End Game."
"Look What You Made Me Do" set the record for streams in a single day on Spotify with 10.129 million during its first day on the streaming service.
Each of Swift's six albums has now sold over two million copies, though "Reputation" didn't do so as quickly as her previous four. Each of those took seven weeks or fewer to hit that magic number, according to Billboard, while "Reputation" needed four months.
