Taylor Swift's biggest tour blunders from forgotten lyrics to 'haunted' piano and choking

Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour has broken records, taken over social media, and arguably changed music history. Following the crazy chaos and controversy caused just from just trying to buy tickets, the show better be worth it.

Regardless of how good a show is, some things are bound to go wrong. From technical difficulties to fully forgetting one of her most popular songs, the list of mistakes is certainly a wild ride. As we approach the end of the US leg and slowly get closer to the international portion of the tour, let's take a look back at all of those silly mess ups.

1. A stage malfunction means had Taylor to SPRINT to stay on time.

The Eras Tour, if you don't already know, is three hours long... and that's not including the openers. If Taylor wants to wrap before midnight, she needs to stay on pace throughout her set. In Cincinnati, Taylor was getting ready for a costume change when things went wrong. The mechanism that was supposed to lower her below and out of view, didn't work.

After giving the stage a little stomp, she took off down the catwalk, disappearing behind a door with her dancers. Luckily, Taylor made the costume change and the show went on. Later, Taylor joked that she was "still swift af boi" on a TikTok about her little run.

2. Taylor forgot the lyrics to "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" live on stage.

With a discography of ten studio albums, no one can blame Taylor for a little slip up here or there. With "Speak Now (Taylor's Version," though, it was a bit more shocking when she stumbled over the lyrics. After all, the Speak Now (Taylor's Version) album is the next of her re-recordings to come out.

Fans already have been joking that she doesn't care about the Speak Now (Taylor's Version) release as much as she did the other re-recordings. This mistake may not help out with that teasing.

3. Her piano was "Haunted (Taylor's Version)".

Secret songs always leave room for error. With a revolving roster and over a decade worth of music to choose from, this portion of Taylor's set is sure to be riddled with mishaps and mistakes. This one, though, wasn't really her fault. When Taylor went to perform the piano secret song for one night, fans were spooked when it started playing by itself.

She explained to her fans that it was likely a result of the storm from the night before. A constant downpour of rain loomed over Taylor as she performed which damaged the piano.

4. She yelled at a security guard mid-performance.

This moment took over stan Twitter for several days after it happened. While Taylor was performing "Bad Blood," fans noticed when she took a quick departure from the normal lyrics. Between different lines, she threw in a few exclamations.

She yelled: "She's fine! She wasn't doing anything! Hey, stop!"

It turns out, there was a security guard at Lincoln Financial Field who was mishandling a situation with a fan. When Taylor spotted it, she interceded in an attempt to defend the fan. The guard was eventually escorted away after the interaction. In following shows, signs reminding security guards to "be nice" appeared attached to the barricades.

5. Her microphone stopped working.

One of the most common technical difficulties at any concert is when the sound goes out. So, seeing Taylor's microphone stop working isn't that shocking. Fans, though, teased her for the way she handled it. She was seen shaking the microphone and fake screaming into it, too.

6. Taylor's "dive" didn't go right.

The first time we saw a taste of the Eras Tour, we couldn't all fit in the stadium, right? Many fans watched through their phones on livestreams. One moment, in particular, shocked everyone. It appeared that Taylor dove straight into a pool in the stage and swam underneath.

It turns out, there wasn't actually water. The stunt was a bit of a rouse. Taylor does dive, but its just into a hole in the stage where she safely lands on a mat. However, one night, the stage door didn't open on time. This definitely threw things off for the night's schedule.

7. She had a major wardrobe malfunction.

Taylor's outfits on the Eras Tour are highly discussed and particularly recognizable. Even though many of them are rotated through every night, she still has some certain staples. Fans love her deep blue Midnights outfit that comes with a garter. One night, her jacket got stuck to her outfit. On another the garter snapped. Luckily, her backup dancers swooped in to help her.

8. Taylor choked on a bug.

"Oh, delicious," Taylor Swift said after she coughed. A little bug had flown into her mouth and she didn't have enough time to fully respond. Outdoor shows have some unique hazards.
