Taylor Swift's 1989 cover album by Ryan Adams released online

()

It has been quite a year for Taylor Swift: the success of last year’s 1989 has propelled her to an unbelievable level of fame where a simple Tweet can send the world’s media into overdrive.

Before her pop days, however, Swift was primarily a country music star who took inspiration from the likes of Dolly Parton, Sim & Garfunkel as well as the great Ryan Adams, the latter of which has paid tribute to the “Shake It Off” singer by releasing a 1989 cover album, giving each song from the album a unique country twist.

Fans - including Swift - have been patiently waiting for the album which has been teased over the last few months. Finally, it has dropped online, on iTunes of course.

Earlier this week, Adams’ haunting version of “Bad Blood” was released onto YouTube. The prolific country star is to make an appearance on Zane Lowe’s Beats Radio 1 show later, with Swift highly tipped to join him.

Swift previously tweeted how “Ryan's music helped shape my songwriting. This is surreal and dreamlike.” She also put out out a picture of a cat with the caption “Waiting fur Ryan Adams 1989 like.”
