Taylor Swift has released a re-recorded “Taylor version” of her hit 2008 single “Love Story”, ahead of her new revisited album Fearless.

The singer-songwriter plans to release re-recorded versions of all the albums she put out under her old label Big Machine Records, following a dispute with the new label owner Scooter Braun over the rights to her masters.

The original Fearless was Swift’s breakthrough record, and contained hits including “You Belong With Me” and “White Horse”.

As well as new versions of all songs that featured on the original album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version) will also include six never-before-heard tracks written when Swift was still a teenager.

After the new version of “Love Story” was released, fans reacted positively, sharing their reactions to the single on social media.

“I’M NOT CRYING YOU ARE,” wrote one of her Twitter followers.

“This will be on replay for the rest of our lives,” wrote another.

Actor and writer Mindy Kaling wrote: “God I love this song.”

Fans had previously been given a taste of the new version of “Love Story” when a snippet was used in Ryan Reynold’s advertisement for Match.com.

While no official release date for Fearless (Taylor’s Version) has yet been announced, fans think a coded message in Swift’s announcement yesterday (11 February) points to a 9 April release.
