Is there nothing Taylor Swift cannot do? In the week her single Bad Blood went to No 1 in the US, it transpires her merchandise has life-saving capabilities, which is not something you can say about Kiss Kaskets.
Two fans involved in a car crash in Louisiana after a show this week have credited Swift’s flashing wristbands with getting them rescued from a car crash. The Baton Rouge radio station WRBZ reports that Elizabeth Dazzio was driving her sister Caroline and a friend home from a Swift concert last week when she fell asleep at the wheel and crashed her vehicle.
Dazzio was knocked unconscious and the other two girls were trapped. “You could smell the gas and smoke,” Caroline told WRBZ. “I was just thinking we need to get out of this car.”
Sadly, no passing vehicle bothered to stop for the wreck at the side of the road, so Caroline and her friend thought to use the flashing wristbands they had bought at the show, which acted as distress flares and alerted a passing driver to the plight of the trapped passengers.
Elizabeth Dazzio was taken to hospital, where she told reporters the wristbands had saved her life.
Swift tweeted her relief at the outcome. She did not use the tweet to advertise her life-saving wristbands.
